How it works
What is Pillow Mapping?
You lie on your own pillow on a thin pressure-sensing mat. Hundreds of small sensors register where your head and neck make contact and how pressure is distributed across that contact area.
The result is a color map. Cooler colors show lighter contact and warmer colors show more concentrated relative pressure. It isn't a score, and no color is "right" or "wrong." It simply shows what is happening.
Then we change one thing, such as pillow position, lift, firmness or configuration, and map again. You tell us what you feel. The maps and your feedback are recorded together.
Why see it?
"Soft," "firm," "fluffy" and "flat" describe how a pillow feels, but they don't necessarily tell you how it is supporting you. Pillow Mapping makes contact and support changes easier to see and compare.
The sequence
Lie down on your pillow in your normal sleep position.
We capture a settled pressure/contact map.
We observe the contact pattern and record your comfort feedback.
We adjust one variable at a time.
We map again.
We compare the maps and your feedback.
Pillow Mapping doesn't determine a medically correct position. We compare an original setup with adjusted setups and record how each one feels to you.
What if we change the support?
When you want to try a change, Crown Lift® gives us a practical way to adjust lift and firmness without necessarily replacing the pillow you already love. We map the new configuration and record how you say it feels.
Mapping comes first. Crown Lift is one tool we use to make controlled adjustments, not the predetermined outcome of a session.
